Magnetic pumpkin craft.

What you need:
-note book paper
-black construction paper
-magnets ( I used the ones I got from off the phone book and from the pizza place)
-crayons
-scissors
-elmer's glue

How to: first on the notebook paper you draw a pumpkin shape and color it orange. And than cut it out. Then with the black construction paper cut out different shapes for the nose, eyes, mouth and stem. When that done. you cut and glue the magnets to fit the back of all the pumpkin face pieces. Don't put a magnet on the back of the pumpkin it will stop the face from sticking. And now the kids can have fun making different faces on the pumpkin.

Kids flip flop tank top.

What you need:
-fabric paint
- a T-shirt
- Ribbon
-fabric glue
-rhinestones
- sharp scissors

How to:

First draw a flip flop shape on a piece of cardboard than trace with a pencil onto the front of the shirt. Put the cardboard between the shirt so the paint don't sink through. Than paint the flip flop shape. Let it dry. To make the sandal strap cut the ribbon big enough for the shoe drawing. Pinch in the center than glue to the shirt in the middle.Than glue the sides. In the middle of the strap glue the rhinestone. Then you can glue cut out ribbon around it like a sun.

almost famous broccoli cheddar soup.

What you need:
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups half-and-half
3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
2 bay leaves
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
4 cups broccoli florets (about 1 head)
1 large carrot, diced
2 1/2 cups (about 8 ounces) grated sharp white and yellow cheddar cheese, plus more for garnish

How to:Melt the butter in a large Dutch oven or pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Whisk in the flour and cook until golden, 3 to 4 minutes, then gradually whisk in the half-and-half until smooth. Add the chicken broth, bay leaves and nutmeg, then season with salt and pepper and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, uncovered, until thickened, about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the bread bowls: Using a sharp knife, cut a circle into the top of each loaf, leaving a 1-inch border all around. Remove the bread top, then hollow out the middle with a fork or your fingers, leaving a thick bread shell.

Add the broccoli and carrot to the broth mixture and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes. Discard the bay leaves. Puree the soup in batches in a blender until smooth; you'll still have flecks of carrot and broccoli. Return to the pot. (Or puree the soup in the pot with an immersion blender.)

Add the cheese to the soup and whisk over medium heat until melted. Add up to 3/4 cup water if the soup is too thick. Ladle into the bread bowls and garnish with cheese.

Homemade chocolate bar.

What you need:
_ bag of semi sweet chocolate morsels
- bag of white chocolate
-small bag of pecans(chopped)
-baking pan.
-wax paper.
How to:
first I melted the chocolate in the microwave in a microwave safe dish in 30 sec intervals until it was melted. Then I lined my baking pan with the wax paper and poured my first layer, the white chocolate. Than on top of that I layered the pecans and then finally my last layer the dark chocolate. Than I put it in the fridge until it was set. Once it was set I pulled out of the pan by the wax paper and cut it up. I made these for easter so I took tin foil and cut it up into squares and wrapped each piece and then put a sticker on top. You could really do it for any occasion.

Magazine mini Easter basket.

What you need:
-Magazine covers
-Ruler
-Scissors and craft knife
-Clear tape

How to:

To make the base, cut a 9-inch square from a magazine cover. Use the ruler to draw a tic-tac-toe grid across the square, then cut it as shown, leaving four tabs (these will be the basket's sides).

With the craft knife, cut four slits in each tab as shown (an adult's job). Fold the four tabs up.
Cut more magazine covers into 1/2-inch-wide strips. Starting at the bottom, weave the strips in and out of the slits. When one strip ends, tape it in place, then begin weaving the next strip until all the sides are covered.
Tape on a strip to serve as a handle.

Homemade Mulberry pie.

What you need:
-3 cups mulberries
-1 1/4 cups white sugar
-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
-1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
-2 tablespoons butter
-1 tablespoon milk

How to:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mix berries with sugar and flour. Place mixture into bottom pie crust. Dot with butter and then cover with top pie crust. Crimp edges, cut slits in upper crust, and brush with milk. Let pie rest in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Bake pie in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Remove pie from oven and let sit on wire rack until cool.

Homemade wipes.

What you need:
-measuring cup and spoons
-1/2 Tbs.baby oil
-1 Tbs baby wash
-2 cups of water
-wipe container
-good soft paper towels (such as viva)
-serrated knife

How to:
First you take the paper towels and cut them in half with a really sharp serrated knife. Then remove the brown cardboard in the middle. Then in the middle of the paper towels pull the towels up through the middle. Than take your baby oil, baby wash and water and mix it together in your measuring cup and mix it together. Take your paper towels and put them in your wipe container and then pour you solution on top of the wipes.

***If you don't use them frequently I would suggest doing half of the recipe. Because after a couple of weeks they can become sour. And too if you don't have a stand up wipe container you can just take the wipes off the roll and stack them in a regular container.

Kids halter top and bracelet.

What you need:
-A T-shirt
-Fabric paint
-sharp scissors
-piece of cardboard

How to: First I followed these instructions on cutting a halter at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDxR1pbvBOI. After I did that I put a piece of cardboard and put it in between the shirt and made a design and panted it on my shirt. While that was drying I took the sleeve that I cut off and made a bracelet out of by following the same instructions of doing the back of the shirt.

A fun purse craft to do with little girls.

Things you need:
- Canvas purse
-fabric paint
-glitter
-elmer's glue
-fabric glue
-rhinestones
-wax paper
-stencils
I bought all this stuff at the dollar tree except for the glues. So this is a really cheap project.

You use the fabric glue to put on the rhinestones. And you use the glue to spread all over the purse for the glitter to adhere to. You use the wax paper to put inside the purse so the glue and paint don't go through to the other side of the purse. Decorate as you would like and let dry. Hope you guys enjoy it.
